Dave Brock
recognized for contributions made to establishing the CATIA Operator’s Exchange and establishing CATIA as the leading CAD/CAE/CAM solutions in the world.
October 5, 1999—At its Fall 1999 conference in Orlando, Florida, the Board of Directors for the CATIA Operators Exchange (COE) recognized Dave Brock, president of Partners In EXCELLENCE, for his invaluable contributions as one of the founders of the organization in 1983 by presenting its Award of Merit.
“Mr. Brock initiated and
organized the early meetings between the principals that later become the
COE organization,” said B.J. Fries, COE Executive Vice President, who
nominated Brock. “He sought
and provided the initial funding required to make the COE conferences
possible.” Francis Bernard, Director and Executive Committee Advisor to Dassault Systemes added, “Because of his strong leadership and the teamwork he set up with Dassault Systemes, we can say that Dave was the first to open the CATIA market in the USA. Very quickly he created CATIA market awareness and set up the first customer base.” “Dave Brock was one of the critical players in establishing the CATIA marketplace and the founding of the CATIA Operators Exchange (COE),” stated Bill Abramson, executive advisor to the COE Board. “It was our pleasure to recognize Dave for his efforts and support in making COE a reality.” The COE Award of Merit is conferred annually to honor a number of outstanding individual COE members who have made valued, balanced contributions to the organization’s activities and growth.
