Industry Right Sizing, Survival of the Fittest presented at ISA '96 in Chicago
September 01, 1996 -- Cleveland, OH: Dave Brock,
president of Partners In EXCELLENCE, and Dr. Ann Howard, of Virtual Dimensions, will be
co-hosting a marketing and sales seminar at ISA '96 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
This seminar and panel discussion will highlight
issues many organizations face as they restructure or "right size." In addition to co-hosting
the seminar, Mr. Brock will discuss the topic of how companies can "Do More, By Doing
Less." This discussion will highlight a critical success factor in restructuring an
organization, that is to stop doing things that do not need to be done. focusing on core
competencies that add value to the customer relationship.
In addition, the seminar will include presentations
by James W. Noel, of the Foxboro company, entitled "Alliances: Pots Of Gold or Puffs
of Smoke," by Jim Campbell will present "Right Sizing Selling Costs in Time of
Need: Sense or Nonsense." Wayne O'Neill will be discussing how the Internet will help
organizations leverage their marketing and sales efforts.
The seminar is being conducted in conjunction with
the ISA Technical Conference's Sales and Marketing Division. It will be held on Tuesday,
October 8 from 8:30-10:30 am. Other marketing and sales seminars being conducted at the
conference include a roundtable discussion entitled "Creating Successful Customers by
Partnering;" a panel discussion on "Working Effectively With Trade Press
Editors;" another roundtable: "Effective Use of a Manufacturer's Rep Sales
Force;" a plenary on "Internet Marketing for Engineers, Scientists and
Instrumentation Professionals and a tutorial on "Profitable Distribution, Survival in
the 90's and Beyond."
